QAR is an AR app designed for aerospace and defense tech quality assurance teams and their vendors to create a spatial version of the non-conformance report(NCR). It offers spatial annotations on 3D scanned objects, replacing traditional paper-based non-conformance reports. The app utilizes hand tracking for seamless interaction with the 3D scanned object, allowing users to view/create annotations, rotate, and scale the object. The founder has been working in the XR industry for over 2 years and aims to accelerate the work of manufacturers in the aerospace and defense tech field.
A simple 3 step process
Scan and Annotate
The user scans or imports a 3D model (ex: damaged aircraft part)
then places spatial annotations (notes, arrows, drawings) using hand tracking to include various details(Part number, package number, specification) and a description of the actual issue.
Export and Send
The scanned and annotated object can be sent off to the vendor as a replacement or suppliment to the non-conformance report.
View and Recreate
The vendor can open, view, rotate, and scale the scanned part to then perform corrective actions based on the sent file.
